Conclusion of the 19th Regional Capacity Development for Climate Change Negotiations for The Arab Countries
The Arab Fund participated in the 19th Regional Workshop on Capacity Development for Climate Change Negotiations for The Arab Countries. The workshop, organized by the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), the League of Arab States, and UN-ESCWA, focused on emerging issues in climate negotiations in preparation for the upcoming COP30 in Brazil, focusing on energy financing and regional and international cooperation.
It featured expert-led training to support the development of updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) across Arab countries, along with discussions on climate change impacts in the region and strategies for adaptation. The workshop concluded with key recommendations aimed at strengthening a unified Arab negotiating position for COP30.
