12-July-2026
Funded by a one-million-dollar grant from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, the International Islamic Charity Organization signed a cooperation agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to implement a project aimed at rehabilitating water infrastructure in the earthquake-affected areas of the Syrian governorate of Idlib.
The project aims to provide safe and sustainable water services to about 79,000 beneficiaries. It also seeks to improve health and living conditions and restore the basic necessities of life.
The project will also support building the capacity of local authorities responsible for water management to ensure sustainable operation and maintenance of facilities while strengthening reliance on national capabilities.
