ArabFund/ ACG-IFC Blended Finance Workshop
21-May-2025Kuwait, May 21, 2025 – The Arab Fund, in collaboration with IFC, held a one-day workshop on how to leverage “Blended Finance” to mobilize private capital for development impact.
The workshop was attended by the Arab Coordination Group, and the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation.
It covered IFC’s blended finance practices, including its commitment to the Blended Finance Principles for Development Finance Institutions and its governance frameworks, and detailed various blended finance instruments and structures, such as debt, equity, and risk-sharing facilities, through case studies.
The workshop also demonstrated how blended finance is integrated into IFC’s investment cycle and how IFC tracks impact through dedicated monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
