Gilded Cornices Crown the Walls of the Damascene Room
Gilded wood cornices crown the yellow, black and white stone in
the walls of the Damascene Room, complimenting the intricate
patterns of the painted ceiling. Just below the cornices, Arabesque designs can be
seen painted on the stone.
