Objectives:

The project aims at providing adequate medical services for Jordanian citizens as a part of the Jordanian health plan to meet the increasing demand for medical care.

Description:

The project, scheduled for completion by the end of the year 2002, comprises the following main components:

1. Construction Works: This includes civil, mechanical, and electrical works for the hospital compound which consists of 10 floors with a total area of 55,200 m2 accommodating about 400 beds. It also includes another building that consists of four floors with a total area of about 2,900 m2 for housing the nurses.

2. Equipment and Furniture: This includes the supply and installation of medical equipment required for the hospital and purchasing of furniture for various sections and facilities of the hospital.

3. Other Works: Executing all infrastructure and external works including parking facilities for about 450 cars. This item also includes some components of the hazardous waste disposal site located at about 120 km south east of the capital.

4. Technical Services: This includes the consultancy services required for the preparation of detailed design and tender documents and supervision of the project execution.
