Board meeting 2/2009

The Board of Directors, at its meeting no. 2/2009, held on 14 April 2009, agreed to extend the following loans having a total value of KD 31 million:

During the same meeting, the Board of Directors extended the following grants having a total value of KD 1.15 million:

3	The Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait	100	cover the costs of its programs and activities for the financial year 2008/2009
4	International Center for Agricultural Research in Dry Areas "ICARDA"	200	support the activity of ICARDA for 2009, and finance the specialized training programs for Arab professionals in the field of agricultural research, and strengthen cooperation ties between the center and the agricultural research institutions in Arab States
5	The Lothan Center for Youth Activities	50	support the center's activities and dissemination of its experiences to Arab States
6	The Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC)	100	cover the expenses of the Ninth Energy Conference scheduled to be co-organized by the Arab Fund and OAPEC in 2010
7	Egypt	300	finance studies of (phase 1) of developing and improving the neighborhoods in Fatimid Cairo
