The intricately carved suspended wood ceiling of the Multi-function
Hall looks traditional, but in a modern conference room with high-tech
requirements it serves many hidden functions. Air conditioning returns and outlets,
50 loud speakers, 50 water sprinklers, smoke detectors and lighting control sensors are
all built into the ceiling -- all functional and accessible to maintenance.

The central brass grill between carved panels (see close-up
photo above right) provides a decorative cover for microphones.
